Course overview
This premium option aims to set you up with the skills required for an exciting airline career or put you on the path to a management or supervisory position in the tourism industry and beyond. With a variety of modules such as Human Resources, Marketing & Sales, Accounting, Customer Service Strategies, and Workplace Practices, you will complete the course armed with the knowledge to impress an employer and the right set of skills to kickstart your career. Year 1 includes Tourism, Airline and Flight Attendant Level 4 course, which will not only enhance your tourism industry knowledge, but also focuses on the valuable and highly transferable skills it takes to be a flight attendant, including customer service, risk management, organisation and cultural intelligence. Year 2 will really help you to forge a leadership role in the Tourism and Travel Management industry and be responsible for the strategy and processes behind the visitor experience. You’ll cover modules like Strategic Leadership, Environmental Sustainability and get to design a Hospitality or Tourism Business. You’ll also have access to an optional Paid Internship for 30 Credits, or you can choose to be involved with Tourism Futures which looks at Sustainable Maori Tourism, Change Management and Analysing a Tourism Business.
